Information.

Rodriguez began his career in the 60s, but without any enthusiastic response, he was ultimately let go by his label and forced to work outside the music industry. Unbeknownst to him, and to the rest of the world, his songs became the inspiration for millions struggling against apartheid in South Africa, where he was regarded as a superstar. Rodriguez became the subject of the Oscar-winning documentary
Searching for Sugar Man, which depicts the story of the hunt to learn the truth behind his rumored death and disappearance in the late 1970’s. With his new-found celebrity status, Rodriguez has been a headliner at every major festival in the world and has finally found commercial success forthe album he produced nearly four decades ago.
