Maya Arce

 

Maya Arce is a Mexican-American musician who grew up in Arizona. She began studying and performing mariachi music as a vocalist and violinist at the age of five. She moved to Los Angeles to join the multi-faceted folk ensemble Grupo Bella. The band focused on playing more traditional mariachi, son jarocho, son huasteco, as well as various modern Mexican regional musical genres.

After four years with Grupo Bella, Maya left to embark on her solo career to continue exploring her musical journey. Maya has taken the stage for the Latin American Music Awards, and many larger concerts around the US and Mexico. She has also performed throughout several iconic music spots in Los Angeles (Viper Room, La Cita, Whiskey A Go Go).
