A captivating new production choreographed by Raiford Rogers, set to the entrancing sounds of the Philip Glass masterpiece, “Glassworks.” The landmark composition serves as the heartbeat of this innovative ballet performed by Raiford Rogers Modern Ballet. Pianist Hui Wu brings the music to life with virtuosic flair, providing a sonic track that enhances the emotional depth of Rogers’ choreography.
Self Help Graphics & Art, Sinks: Places We Call Home, presented at the Luckman Gallery, Cal State LA: a project in which artists, who are partnering with communities and scientists, examine the impact of toxic manufacturing sites on communities near Self Help Graphics & Art in East LA.

London’s The Kingdom Choir first attracted the world’s attention when they performed their show-stopping performance of Stand By Me in front of a world-wide television audience of over two billion at the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in May 2018. Since that infamous day the Choir’s infectious joy and spirit, matched only by their raw Gospel spiritual style, has taken them around the world including a debut North American tour in 2019 which took them to 29 cities including New York, Montreal, Toronto, Philadelphia, Las Vegas and Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl.
With a keen eye for ambiance and atmosphere, Brian Zamora’s work transcends conventional use of lighting, weaving together intricate patterns, colors, and textures to evoke emotive responses and enhance architectural landscapes.
Paula Cole has never been afraid of speaking complex truths. With a musical catalog defined by honest and deeply personal lyrics carried by her powerful, radiant voice, Cole has always had a gift for discerning the underlying humanity in stories from her own life as well as those around her, and channeling those emotional elements into captivating music.
French-American jazz songstress Madeleine Peyroux returns to the Luckman with her full arsenal of delicately sultry compositions and renditions. With hits such as Careless Love and Don’t Wait Too Long, Madeleine Peyroux has earned her spot amongst jazz/blues divas such as Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald – artists to whom she is often compared.
Raymundo T. Reynoso’s work reflects on the fabric of the city and present narratives of resistance, resilience, and existence that are evident yet often unseen. Incorporating paintings and prints on found surfaces, Spooky Action at a Distance explores the intersections of migration, labor, and urban life.
Maria José Llergo is one of the most exciting voices in contemporary flamenco. Her unique interpretation of the genre is refreshing and free of traditional constraints. Singing about love, sadness, and social struggles, her stunning voice twists and turns through atmospheric and captivating soundscapes.
