Acclaimed former Kirov Ballet star Marat Daukayev returns to the Luckman with his cast of 130+ dancers performing this holiday classic. Set to Tchaikovsky’s beloved score, Daukayev performs the role of Drosselmeyer alongside an ensemble of classically trained dancers aged 3-21 — all from his prestigious eponymous school of ballet. Marat Daukayev has been presenting the Christmas favorite at the Luckman for over a decade — the mounting of which is the subject of Serene Dillman’s documentary “Getting to the Nutcracker.”
